Personal Demo Font License Agreement

Personal and Non-Commercial Use


This Personal Demo Font License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal contract between you (the “Licensee”) and the creator or owner of the digital typeface software identified as the Font Software.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Font Software under this Personal Demo License, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not download, install, or use the Font Software.

1. Grant of License

The Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, worldwide license to install and use the Font Software for your own personal, non-commercial, and not-for-profit purposes.

This license is granted to the individual who downloads or obtains the Font Software and may not be transferred to another person, company, organization, or client.

You may use the Font Software to create:

  • Personal artwork and illustrations.
  • Personal invitations, cards, posters, labels, and stationery.
  • Personal social media posts that do not promote a business, product, service, brand, or paid activity.
  • Personal websites, portfolios, or blogs that are not used for commercial promotion or revenue generation.
  • School or university assignments that are not created for a commercial client or paid project.
  • Personal gifts and limited private-use items.
  • Static personal images and other non-commercial graphic output.

The Font Software may be installed on devices under your control when reasonably necessary for the permitted uses described in this Agreement.

2. Meaning of Personal and Non-Commercial Use

For the purposes of this Agreement, personal and non-commercial use means a use that:

  • Is created for your own private purposes.
  • Is not commissioned by, delivered to, or created for a client.
  • Does not promote a business, service, product, organization, or professional activity.
  • Does not generate direct or indirect financial benefit.
  • Is not used in advertising, marketing, sponsorship, fundraising, or commercial communication.
  • Is not sold, licensed, published for profit, or distributed as part of a paid product or service.

A personal project does not become non-commercial merely because it is created outside working hours or without an initial payment. If the project promotes a business, supports a professional activity, or is intended to generate revenue, a commercial license is required.

3. Permitted Output

You may export, print, or publish static output created with the Font Software, provided that:

  • The output is personal and non-commercial.
  • The Font Software itself is not included in the output as an editable or installable file.
  • The output does not allow third parties to extract, access, or reuse the Font Software.
  • The output is not used to promote a commercial activity or paid service.

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Font Software:

  • For any commercial, professional, promotional, advertising, or revenue-generating purpose.
  • In logos, trademarks, registered brands, or official business identities.
  • For a client, employer, agency, organization, or commercial partner.
  • In paid freelance work or commissioned projects.
  • In packaging, merchandise, products, templates, or goods intended for sale.
  • In advertisements, sponsored content, promotional campaigns, or marketing materials.
  • In websites or social media accounts that promote a business, brand, product, service, or professional activity.
  • In mobile applications, desktop software, video games, e-books, or other electronic products.
  • As a webfont through @font-face or any other webfont technology.
  • To create alphabet products, stamps, stickers, stencils, templates, or other letterform-based products for distribution or sale.
  • To create, sell, distribute, or license derivative fonts or modified font files.

5. Font Software Restrictions

You may not:

  • Share, transfer, lend, rent, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the Font Software.
  • Provide the font files to clients, collaborators, printers, agencies, or other third parties.
  • Upload the Font Software to public servers, shared repositories, cloud folders, or websites accessible to unauthorized users.
  • Modify, rename, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or convert the Font Software into another format.
  • Create derivative fonts or modified versions of the Font Software.
  • Remove or alter copyright notices, metadata, trademarks, or other proprietary information.

6. Additional Licenses

A separate license is required for any use that is not expressly permitted by this Personal Demo License, including:

  • Commercial and professional design use.
  • Client work and commissioned projects.
  • Branding, logos, and trademarks.
  • Webfont and website embedding.
  • Mobile applications, software, and SaaS products.
  • Video games and interactive media.
  • E-books and electronic publications.
  • Film, television, broadcast, and streaming projects.
  • Merchandise, packaging, products, and templates.
  • Corporate, agency, educational, or multi-user use.
  • Modification, customization, or derivative work.
  • Server, cloud, or automated production use.

Please contact the Licensor before beginning any use outside the scope of this Agreement. The Licensor will be available to discuss the project and determine the appropriate license.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The Font Software and all related typeface designs, glyphs, code, data, names, trademarks, and intellectual property remain the exclusive property of the Licensor.

This Agreement grants only a limited right of use. It does not transfer ownership of the Font Software or any intellectual property rights to the Licensee.

All rights not expressly granted under this Agreement are reserved by the Licensor.

8. Warranty and Liability

The Font Software is provided for personal use and is supplied without any guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Font Software.

Nothing in this Agreement limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

9. Termination

This Agreement remains in effect until terminated.

The License will terminate automatically if you breach any provision of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Font Software and permanently delete all copies from your devices, backups, servers, and storage media.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the Licensor, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions that may apply.

Any use not expressly permitted by this Agreement requires prior written authorization or the purchase of an appropriate license.
